Raschel blankets and acrylic blankets both belong to the knitted blanket series, and their performance varies greatly due to different weaving methods.
The warp knitted Raschel blanket is woven using a warp knitted Raschel double needle bed loom. As the product is woven in the warp direction, all the wool yarns participate in weaving into loops without any stretching connection between them. Moreover, due to the use of hundreds or thousands of warp yarns simultaneously participating in weaving, the size stability of the finished product is excellent, and there is basically no shedding of wool after the finished product. Moreover, due to the uniform distribution of yarns and consistent yarn tension, the entire blanket has a fluffy and uniform pile surface density, moderate elasticity, and strong standing hair sensation.
Due to the use of any external conditions during shaping and weaving, the size and fuzz of the product remain almost unchanged after washing. Knitted acrylic blankets are woven using a weft knitting machine with yarn fed in the middle. Due to the fact that weft knitted products are woven with one or several yarns, the coils can extend from each other, and the height of the coils varies with external tension, making the overall size of the product very unstable. To produce a certain specification of product, the corresponding size and weight are under post-processing conditions (such as back sizing and shaping). However, after washing, the modified product is likely to return to its original state, and because the yarn does not participate in forming loops, the shedding rate is much higher compared to warp knitted products, making it less resistant to washing. With the comprehensive development of China's economy and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the development prospects of Raschel blankets have also made significant progress in China's home textile industry. It has gradually developed from the previous functions of laying, covering, and concealing to special functions such as beauty, comfort, and health care. Blankets have changed from low-end woven and knitted woolen blankets to warp knitted Raschel blankets.
